Where is the future of education going? How are teachers to prepare students? This video, which was created a few years ago, puts facts and statistics around the idea of 21st Century learning. As a teacher, "Shift Happens" makes it vividly clear what needs to be done to prepare you for the future. I want you to watch the video - in fact watch it twice - because you need to understand what is happening in the world. Then I want you to post your ideas here. What did learn? What statistic/fact surprised you? Think about the video as a whole and post some thought-provoking ideas that can lead to some great discussions. The shift is happening now - are we prepared?

Welcome back to a new school year and the start of English 12. As your senior English teacher, I wanted to welcome you to our classroom blog. As you can see, this blog will be a great resource for you this year as it includes pages of all the texts we will be reading with summaries, character and theme lists, and active links to web resources. We will also discuss important events and ideas from our reading through blog posts. You will also have the ability to post things on your own. Consider this your blog!
